“The Chubby Companion”
96”x32” Acrylic on canvas

This is probably my most time consuming painting to date. Hundreds of hours. Spent two days alone just priming and sanding the canvas to get it as smooth as possible. I also figured out a way to get high flow acrylic paint into old rapidograph pens so I can get teeny little lines when I need to. A technique I plan on using a ton going forward.

I’m really happy with how this piece turned out. But it’s so wide it is damn near impossible to to get a decent pic of the whole thing.

I started sketching this out last spring on my iPad, (right after I got a book of Frank Frazetta paintings and I think there is a definite influence) and took until now to complete the painting. It’s a companion piece to the chubby Pegasus painting I did a while back.

This piece is availble but PLEASE email before purchasing to arrange shipping or if local to MN, a pick up.
